Holiday Sussex

One of the wonderful things about going on holiday is the chance to be inspired, to pick up new ideas.  For garden lovers, Sussex has much to offer.

Wild pure Great Gardens of Sussex consist of five gardens, and they are all situated very close to each other; so you won't have to spend your day driving around - more time for exploring the gardens!

  • Borde Hill
  • Nymans
  • High Beeches
  • Wakehurst Place
  • Leonardslee

We live very close to the magnificent Leonardslee Gardens, all 200 acres of them, with an excellent tea shop and the Clock Tower Restaurant (12:30 to 2:30), with its Beyond the Dolls House exhibition (a miniature country estate). There's also a wonderful collection of Victorian cars, on loan to  Leonardslee from the Loder family.  The seven lakes & gardens are a joy to behold; you really feel as though you have escaped, and the wildlife (wallaby, deer & wildfowl for instance) just add to the magic.  The gardens are open from April to the end of October.
