There are many useful sources of information to help you make the most of your holiday in Sussex. 

Sussex Maps
If you want to do a lot of walking, the Ordnance Survey maps are a must to help you find your way.  There are over 400 maps of the UK, produced for walkers, off-road cyclists, horse riders and indeed anyone who wants to take part in outdoor activiites.  They include National Trails, recreational paths, picnic areas, viewpoints & some places of interest. Sussex weather
Sussex weather is very changeable - you can go from being in a shower to sunshine very quickly!  You can always get an up to date forecast from BBC Southern Counties.  The Weather Channel gives you forecasts for individual towns & cities, too.  Both have coastal forecasts, too, for those of you who want to do some boating.  Be prepared for rain, but don't let it stop you from going on lovely autumn or winter walks.

Gatwick Airport
If you're planning to fly into Gatwick, you'll easily pick up a hire car if you wish; or should you prefer to go by rail, you can easily jump on a train.  If your partner is heading into London on business, he or she will find the Gatwick Express a fast and efficient service, leaving for the capital every 15 minutes, while you can head to your hotel & get some rest and relaxation after the flight. Check for engineering works before you travel, especially at weekends, as the service may be reduced then.
